[ Lance glances over Keith's shoulder into his room, as he had been thinking they'd hang out in there, but from the quick glance he gets inside, he thinks maybe the living room is a better idea. He gestures for Keith to follow and he heads downstairs. Sure enough, no one else seems to be around. ]

Sooo... Were you just hanging out alone, or... What's up?

I thought it took two people to hang out.

[ Which is essentially a yes. ]

Nah, I think you can still hang out by yourself.

[ He heads into the kitchen first, grabbing a couple cans of soda, passing one to Keith. ]

[businessinfront]

[ Keith takes it, opening it and leaning against the counter with one elbow. ]

Oh. Well... I'm pretty sure that's not what I was doing.

[yablueit]

[ He digs around in the fridge looking through Hunk's leftovers while he's in there. ]

What, were you taking a nap or something?

[businessinfront]

I think I was chilling.

[yablueit]

[ He glances over the fridge door at Keith. ]

...There's a difference between hanging out and chilling?

[businessinfront]

I thought you were an expert on this stuff.

[yablueit]

I think we have different definitions of stuff either way.

[businessinfront]

You can say that again.

[yablueit]

[ He pulls out a big tupperware bowl, opens it, and sniffs it before starting to scoop some into a bowl. ]

You want some leftover spam fried rice?

[businessinfront]

Sure. Hit me.

[ Keith tries not to watch Lance too closely, tries not to look as weird as he must feel... but "hanging out" seems like a lot more pressure than just happening to be spending time near someone, which he does often enough. Even if he's pretty sure they're the same thing. Functionally. ]

[ Lance is distracted enough with dishing out a couple bowls of leftovers and heating them up, hopping up to sit on the counter across from the microwave while he waits. ]

I'm glad Hunk basically has two settings, and that's making either individual gourmet plates, or enough food in one batch to feed an army. We never don't have leftovers!

No kidding. I haven't been this well fed in...



... I don't even know.

Sure beats food goo, huh?

[businessinfront]

You sure had enough of it.

And I regretted a lot of it.

[ Keith snorts softly, rolling his eyes. ]

There there.

Plus the morning after was kind of like a hangover.

[businessinfront]

You spent the morning after in a healing pod!

[yablueit]

...Yeah, dude, that— That's the joke.

[businessinfront]

[ Keith's shoulders lift in an awkward huff, and if Lance pays close attention, he can see Keith's cheeks go very faintly pink with embarrassment. ]

... Well, it's still not funny.

[yablueit]

[ Keith's embarrassment is saved by the microwave beeping, and Lance turns to take both bowls out of the microwave, passing one to Keith before heading for the living room. ]

Anyway, the point is, food is amazing, and we're all lucky to have Hunk.
