[ He pulls out a big tupperware bowl, opens it, and sniffs it before starting to scoop some into a bowl. ]

You want some leftover spam fried rice?

Sure. Hit me.

[ Keith tries not to watch Lance too closely, tries not to look as weird as he must feel... but "hanging out" seems like a lot more pressure than just happening to be spending time near someone, which he does often enough. Even if he's pretty sure they're the same thing. Functionally. ]

[ Lance is distracted enough with dishing out a couple bowls of leftovers and heating them up, hopping up to sit on the counter across from the microwave while he waits. ]

I'm glad Hunk basically has two settings, and that's making either individual gourmet plates, or enough food in one batch to feed an army. We never don't have leftovers!

No kidding. I haven't been this well fed in...

Sure beats food goo, huh?

And I regretted a lot of it.

[ Keith snorts softly, rolling his eyes. ]

There there.

Plus the morning after was kind of like a hangover.

You spent the morning after in a healing pod!

[yablueit]

...Yeah, dude, that— That's the joke.

[businessinfront]

[ Keith's shoulders lift in an awkward huff, and if Lance pays close attention, he can see Keith's cheeks go very faintly pink with embarrassment. ]

... Well, it's still not funny.

[yablueit]

[ Keith's embarrassment is saved by the microwave beeping, and Lance turns to take both bowls out of the microwave, passing one to Keith before heading for the living room. ]

Anyway, the point is, food is amazing, and we're all lucky to have Hunk.

[businessinfront]

[ Talk about conversational whiplash. Keith takes the food, still bristling, and follows Lance to the living room after a moment. ]

That, we can agree on.

[ Lance sprawls pretty much immediately on the couch, slouched down with his bowl resting on his chest. ]

Sooo, what have you been up to? I feel like I've barely seen you around all month.

[businessinfront]

[ Keith sits on the arm of the couch, shrugging. ]

Working. Or exploring. I don't... really like hanging around with nothing to do.

[yablueit]

Right, me either. It's weird, actually having nothing to do for once. Did you find an actual job, or are you just taking more one off stuff?

[businessinfront]

Just odd jobs. I'm not, uh, ready for a chain of command that isn't... this.

[ He waves a hand generally, hoping Lance gets what he means — Team Voltron. ]

Again. Not yet, anyway.

[yablueit]

[ He considers this for a moment as he shovels a forkful of his rice into his mouth, and then nods. ]

Yeah, I get that. It's weird, thinking about having any kind of boss that isn't, y'know, Allura or Shiro.

[businessinfront]

Yeah.

[ There's a reluctant pause, like offering more is damning, somehow, but... well, Lance already knows what happened to him. ]

They're good. A lot better than the officers back at the Garrison.

[yablueit]

God, no kidding! At least Shiro has a sense of humor, even if it's awful. I'm pretty sure Iverson doesn't even know how to spell joke.
